Meet your neighbors: The Potters
Sara and Norm Potter are the ultimate adventurists. From sightseeing in New Zealand to going on a safari in South Africa, the two prove that age doesn’t keep them from doing what they love most—traveling.
Sara grew up in Granada Hills, a neighborhood in the Los Angeles area of California; Norm is from Salt Lake City, Utah. It was Norm’s job, as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for the Department of Defense, that first took the pair overseas; during that time, Sara worked as a special education teacher. Between time living in Germany and South Korea, the Potters spent many years abroad, which allowed them to see all of Europe and Asia.
Since retiring, the Potters have traveled to every continent except Antarctica. When the Potters are traveling, they use their home as an Airbnb. They welcome people from all over the world to come stay in their home and love the idea of this modern-day hotel.
The Potters decided immediately that Summit Vista was going to be the place they would spend the rest of their lives. When asked what attracted them to Summit Vista, Norm said, “I had a feeling from the very start that I trusted the people in charge. To not only take care of my mental and physical well-being and my health but also my recreational and social [needs] … and also, the finance plan, returning some of the investment funds back in such a generous manner, was very attractive.”
The Potters look forward to joining the Summit Vista community and are eager to meet their new neighbors.
