Team Spotlight: Debbie White
One minute with Debbie White, and it would be nearly impossible not to pick up on the enthusiasm she has for her job and the opportunity she has to work with so many great people.
“I love, love, love working with the residents! Everyone I’ve met has been so friendly and excited about doing fun things and getting to know other people. It really makes my job great.”
As the community life coordinator, Debbie is responsible for much of the coordination of entertainment and activities available at Summit Vista, including working with residents to organize clubs, host classes, direct on and offsite events, etc.
“Everyone has been so eager to be actively involved within the community. I’m excited to help plan everything they want to do.”
Debbie is originally from Ogden, Utah but now makes her home in Layton, Utah.

Favorite ice-cream flavor: “Licorice and root beer. It’s the combination I’ve liked best since I was a kid.
Weirdest thing about you: “I have a lot of unusual shoes. Unfortunately, I can’t wear many of them here because of all the walking I do.”
Favorite pastime: “Photography. I really enjoy taking pictures.”
Special talent: “Creativity. I love designing things, planning parties, and Photoshop.”
Farthest you’ve been from home: I used to plan travel trips, so I’ve been many places. The farthest would probably be Barcelona, Spain.
Favorite food: It used to be pizza. But now that I am gluten-free because of allergies, I guess it is tofu.
If you could live in any time period, which would it be: “The same time period as Gone with the Wind, so I could wear those dresses and shoes—and have my hair done up like Scarlett O’Hara.”
